Marsha Carter ~ Activities Director

Filling a new position, created by the FCC Board, is Marsha Carter, our new Activities Director.  Marsha will be planning activities for the entire membership and our youth to bring us closer together, enrich our lives, enhance our fellowship, and bring us closer to Jesus.

Marsha has been a member of First Christian Church for over 37 years, coming to the church as a guest of the Babcock family.  During her time at FCC, Marsha has been a member of the choir, handbells, served as a Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher, and has served and/or chaired various committees, such as the Worship Committee and Outreach Committee, as well as, serving on a few search committees.

Marsha is a retired educator, with the last 11 years of her teaching career involved in starting the Florence High School Culinary and Fashion Programs. Marsha started her career path as a buyer with Rogers Department Store, and was a travel agent with Travel Unlimited, Inc. at one time. Marsha is married to Bob Carter, and they have two daughters, Grace & Rachel, who grew up in FCC, and who now live in New York City.

Marsha looks forward to creating energy in our church and giving us opportunities to get to know one another and our youth better, and letting the secret out to the community, First Christian Church is alive and well!  Put your seatbelts on and get ready for a fun filled year of activities and fellowship!
