MOBILE FOOD MINISTRY/SOUP KITCHEN
The Outreach Committee will provide a meal for the Mobile Food Program on Saturday, July 31. If you would like to donate to help with the food/supply expenses please make a note on your check or envelope as a donation for the Mobile Food Program. Also, we need six individuals to make 2 dozen brownies or dessert bars or 4 dozen cookies for this effort. It needs to be something that is a finger food and can be bagged.
You can drop off cookies/brownies on Thursday, July 29, during the day, or Saturday by 10:00 am. A sign-up sheet will be on the bulletin board for the desserts. If you have questions regarding this ministry or can help that Saturday morning from 10:00-12:00 please contact Marsha Carter: 256-710-4999.
A steering committee has been meeting for several months to plan and organize the re-opening of the Shoals Community Soup Kitchen (SCSK). The tentative date to re-open is on Saturday, August 7. The dedicated and admirable food teams that kept our community food ministry going from December 2019 until now will transition to the SCSK.
